02 June 2025 - Consul General Melanie Rita Diano, accompanied by Ms. Janice Kathleen Lobien and Mr. Richard Osea, attended the first ever Filipino Ministry Awards - Araw ng Parangal, organized by the Archdiocese of Chicago, on 01 June 2025 at St. Cletus Parish in La Grange, Illinois. The event was officiated by Bishop Efren Esmilla, an Auxiliary Bishop for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Bishop Esmilla is one of the five Filipino bishops serving in the United States.
27 May 2025 - The Philippine Consulate General Chicago hosted on 23 May 2025 a webinar titled "What happens as women age: A virtual seminar on women’s perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause". The webinar was led by Dr. Jessia Strasburg and Dr. Marissa Magsino, both medical doctors specializing in women’s health in the United States.

The Philippine Consulate General, represented by Cultural Officer Mary Joy Duran-Mortel, joined the PHL delegation, organized by the Filipino-American Community in Skokie, during the Opening Ceremony of the Skokie Festival of Cultures held on 17 May 2025 at Oakton Park, Skokie, IL. The two-day event is a celebration of global cultures, offering a variety of cultural performances, traditional dance and music, food and beverages, and games for attendees of all ages.
