The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago, represented by Consul Ma. Theresa Alders and Mr. Richard Osea, joined the Filipino Community in celebrating the Santacruzan of Our Lady of Unity Parish at St. Helen Church in Chicago held on 18 May 2025.
The Philippine Consulate General, represented by Cultural Officer Mary Joy Duran-Mortel, joined the PHL delegation, organized by the Filipino-American Community in Skokie, during the Opening Ceremony of the Skokie Festival of Cultures held on 17 May 2025 at Oakton Park, Skokie, IL. The two-day event is a celebration of global cultures, offering a variety of cultural performances, traditional dance and music, food and beverages, and games for attendees of all ages.
The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago, represented by Consul Ella Karina Mitra, Cultural Officer Mary Joy Duran-Mortel, Protocol Officer Martyn Orcine, and Consular Assistant Janice Kathlene Lobien, attended the annual Santacruzan Mass and procession at St. Michael Catholic Church in Wheaton, IL on 18 May 2025. The event was organized by the Santacruzan Cultural Group of Greater Chicago, led by its President, Ms. Joanne Turija, and the World Apostolate of Fatima, Joliet Division.
