Renunciation of Philippine Citizenship

Requirements

Filipinos who have acquired a foreign citizenship may voluntarily renounce their Philippine citizenship. Those who will undertake this process have to request an appointment (email: chicagopcg@att.net with email subject “Renunciation”) and proceed to the Consulate in person. No walk-ins.

The Consulate provides this service to Filipino citizens who are residents of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
