SENDING OF MAILING PACKETS TO OVERSEAS VOTERS
The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago would like to inform registered
Filipino overseas voters in the U.S. Midwest that mailing packets containing
official ballots from the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) are being sent
by mail (through USPS) to the addresses registered with COMELEC.
The packet contains the following:
- • an instruction manual/leaflet on the procedure for voting;
- • the official ballot;
- • a stamped return envelope; and
- • COMELEC-issued sticker for sealing the stamped return envelope.
The return envelopes containing the accomplished official ballot
sealed with the
COMELEC-issued sticker should be mailed to and received by the Consulate
General
on or before on 09 May 2022, 6:00 AM (CDT) which is the end of the
voting period.
Voters may also opt to
personally drop their return envelopes at the Consulate
General at 122 S. Michigan Ave., Ste 1600, Chicago, IL 60603
within the
voting period, including weekends, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (CDT) daily.
Registered voters who have changed their mailing address should
notify the
USPS and have your packets forwarded to the new mailing address.
The Consulate General will
publish the names of voters whose mailing
packets were
returned to the Consulate to give the option of picking up the
ballot in person before the end of the voting period.
