The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago, represented by Consul Ma. Theresa Alders and Mr. Richard Osea, joined the Filipino Community in celebrating the Santacruzan of Our Lady of Unity Parish at St. Helen Church in Chicago held on 18 May 2025.

A holy mass with the theme “Journeying with Mary as Pilgrims of Hope” followed the Santacruzan procession, concelebrated by Fr. Claudio Diaz and Fr. Arnel T. Dionaldo.

A parade of participants representing biblical and historical figures, the Santacruzan is a popular tradition in the Philippines. The event saw the first ever Santacruzan in the said parish. END
