CHICAGO, 20 August 2026 – Miss Earth Poland 2026 Ms. Izabela Cieśla paid a courtesy call on Consul General Melanie Rita B. Diano on 19 August 2026 at the Philippine Consulate General in Chicago, ahead of her participation in the Miss Earth 2026 pageant in the Philippines.

Ms. Cieśla, who is based in Chicago and previously represented the Polish-American community in the Miss Polonia 2025 pageant, was accompanied by Ms. Julia Baranek.

During the meeting, Ms. Cieśla shared with the Consul General the environmental advocacy she will champion during the competition, with a particular focus on marine conservation and the protection of ocean ecosystems. Miss Earth is an international pageant that places environmental awareness and advocacy at the core of its competition.

As part of her preparations for her upcoming stay in the Philippines, Ms. Cieśla also sought the Consul General’s insights on Filipino culture, customs and traditions, as well as practical advice on cultural etiquette and what to expect during her time in the country.

Consul General Diano welcomed Ms. Cieśla’s interest in learning more about the Philippines and its people and wished her success in the competition. She also expressed hope that Ms. Cieśla’s participation in Miss Earth would provide an opportunity for her to experience firsthand the Philippines’ rich culture, natural beauty, and warm hospitality.END
