The Consulate General, represented by Consul Melvin Almonguera, inducted the newly elected officers of the International Society of Filipinos in Finance and Accounting, Chicago Chapter (ISFFA-Chicago), during its gala dinner on 28 October 2025 at Manzo’s Banquets, Des Plaines, Illinois. He was accompanied by Protocol Officer Martyn Orcine.
In his remarks, ISFFA-Chicago President Mr. Andrew Guerrero traced the organization’s beginnings and reaffirmed its mission to strengthen the network of Filipino and Filipino-American professionals in financial management. He also enumerated his priority programs for the term, including the expansion of scholarship opportunities for deserving students in the Philippines and initiatives promoting professional advancement and community service.
Reading the message of the Consul General, Consul Almonguera congratulated the newly inducted officers and urged them to further advance the welfare and professional development of Filipino financial practitioners. He likewise invited the organization to support efforts in promoting the Philippines as an attractive investment destination among their respective companies, citing recent regulatory reforms that foster an efficient government support and a thriving business ecosystem.
