This year’s theme “Ani ng Sining: Diwa at Damdamin (Harvests of Art: Essence and Passion)” celebrates the creativity of the Filipino nation which is rooted in the artistic excellence, uniqueness, and passion of its people.
Ms. Navarro is a self-taught artist who has done over 800 paintings since she started in 2017. She also does painting tutorials through her own YouTube channel, which now has over 15,000 followers. Ms. Navarro’s works have been previously displayed at the Philippine Embassy in Seoul, South Korea, where she was previously assigned, at the Department of Foreign Affairs and at the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), both in Pasay City, Metro Manila.
The Consulate kicked off the exhibit on 06 February 2025, during the Meeting with the Filipino Community and the Launching of the Very Important Pinoy Tour 2025. In her remarks, Consul General Melanie Rita Diano invited the members of the Filipino community to continue supporting and celebrating the artistic talent of Filipinos, and provide them with platforms where
they can channel their creative energies.
The exhibit, which features nine (9) floral acrylic paintings that embody a deep appreciation of nature and are inspired by Ms. Navarro’s personal travels, can be viewed currently at the Consular Section of the Philippine Consulate. The exhibit will run until 28 February 2025.END
