CHICAGO 20 March 2026– The Philippine Consulate General, together with the Philippine Trade and Investment Center, New York (PTIC-New York), promoted the 2026 U.S. Business Mission to the Philippines during a networking breakfast hosted by the law firm Kegler Brown Hill + Ritter in Columbus, Ohio last 19 March. The event was conducted in partnership with the Asian American Commerce Group (AACG).
The event assembled some fifty (50) prospective investors and business leaders based in Central Ohio for a discussion on the upcoming business mission scheduled for July 2026.
In her Opening Remarks, Consul General Melanie Rita Diano highlighted the PHL’s recent economic reforms and gave a brief backgrounder on the flagship Luzon Economic Corridor. During her virtual presentation, Trade Commissioner Alma Argayoso emphasized the strength of the country’s macroeconomic fundamentals and its young population, positioning the PHL as an ideal investment destination.
The attendees expressed interest in investing in the PHL and inquired about the details of the mission as well as the pertinent regulations governing foreign investments in the country.
Slated for 06-10 July 2026, the U.S. Business Mission will feature the Luzon Economic Corridor (Manila, Clark, and Subic), highlighting it as a key platform to deepen economic ties in celebration of the 80th anniversary of PHL–U.S. relations.
