Chicago, 14 March 2022 – Consul General J. Susana V. Paez, together with Cultural
Officer Richard P. Osea, attended the Chicago Philippine Lions Club’s 10th Golden Life
Achievement Awards Night held on 11 March 2022 at the Four Points by Sheraton in
Schiller Park, Illinois.
In her remarks, the Consul General congratulated the officers and members of the
Chicago Philippine Lions Club on the occasion of their group’s 47th founding anniversary.
She also conveyed her felicitations to the recipients of the 10th Golden Life Achievement Award, stating that it is important to give recognition to individuals who have given themselves in the service of others. The Consul General also took the opportunity to
encourage registered overseas voters to exercise their right and duty to vote this coming
10 April to 09 May 2022.
Likewise, the Consul General was conferred an Honorary Membership to the Chicago
Philippine Lions Club by Lions Club District 1A Governor Gail Anton.
The Chicago Philippine Lions Club was created in 1975 and was chartered under the
International Lions Clubs of Illinois. Lions Club International was founded in 1917 by
Chicago business leader Melvin Jones and its headquarters is located in Oak Brook,
Illinois.
