CHICAGO 23 March 2026- The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago delivered close to 200 consular services during its outreach mission on 20-21 March 2026 at the Northwood-High Building (Room 100), 2231 N High St, Columbus, Ohio 43201 (some 320 miles away from the Consulate).
Led by Melanie Rita B. Diano, the Consulate General’s five-member team rendered a total of 194 services, primarily for passport and dual citizenship applications, benefiting clients from Ohio and neighboring states. Applicants expressed their appreciation, since the event spared them a six-hour drive to Chicago. Many likewise welcomed the Consulate’s presence in Columbus, noting that an outreach activity had not been conducted in the area in recent years.
The activity was organized in partnership with the Philippine American Society of Central Ohio (PASCO), led by Mr. Rex Alba, which provided valuable assistance in promotion and on-site logistics, contributing to the smooth and efficient conduct of the mission.
On the sidelines of the outreach, the team also engaged with representatives of the local Filipino community to strengthen ties and exchange updates. Consular clients were likewise encouraged to take part in the 2026 VIP Tour scheduled for July.
