CHICAGO 25 April 2023 - Headed by the Resident Election Registration Board (RERB) Chairperson and Consul General J. Susana V. Paez, together with RERB Members, Consul Ryan Francis D. Gener and Ms. Eunika Lesli R. Leyva-Tiongco, the RERB of the Philippine Consulate General in Chicago convened on 17 April 2023 at the Consulate’s Kalayaan Hall to hear Overseas Voting (OV) Registration applications. During the hearing, the RERB approved a total of 1,040 applications filed at the Consulate from 09 December 2022 to 31 March 2023.
The Consulate General resumed OV Registration for the 2025 Philippine National Elections on 09 December 2022 and will continue registering voters until 30 September 2024. All eligible Filipino citizens, who are not otherwise disqualified by law and at least 18 years of age on 12 May 2025, may register as overseas voters. For the current cycle, registration is no longer limited to the Foreign Service Post which covers the address of the applicant. Qualified Filipino citizens who intend to vote overseas for the 2025 Philippine National Elections, even outside this Post’s jurisdiction, may now apply at the Consulate General.
