On 08 May 2025, Consul General Melanie Rita B. Diano attended the Induction Ceremony of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce for Asian Americans (OCCAA) and met with the newly elected officers and members of the chamber as well as other members of the Filipino and Filipino-American community in Northeast Ohio. The meeting was organized by the OCCAA, led by its President, Ms. Leeza Stalcup.

TIn her welcome remarks, the Consul General thanked OCCAA for providing new corners to build a vibrant Filipino business community in Ohio, and for amplifying support for the Filipino and Filipino-American businesses. She also invited them to explore business opportunities back home, emphasizing their important role in bridging the economies of the Philippines and the United States, and in helping our country achieve economic renewal and long-term growth.
The Consul General also took the opportunity to invite the Filipino Community to the 2025 VIP Tour scheduled this July and reminded them to cast their votes for the 2025 National Elections happening on 12 May 2025.
Lastly, she assured them of the Consulate’s readiness to provide support and appropriate assistance to their respective endeavors.END
