Honolulu, Hawai’i - Consul General Melanie Rita B. Diano participated in the planning conference of Philippine Foreign Service Posts (FSPs) in the United States held in Honolulu, Hawai’i from 29 to 30 October 2026. She was accompanied by Consul Ma. Theresa M. Alders, the political affairs section head of Chicago PCG.
The planning conference allowed Philippine FSPs to discuss various political, economic, consular, cultural and administrative issues affecting FSPs in the United States.
Consul General Diano presented the Very Important Pinoy (VIP) Tour 2027 Winter Escapade Edition, which will be hosted by Chicago PCG. For the 2027 VIP Tour, participants have two main itinerary options: Iloilo–Bacolod or El Nido. Originally, the itinerary only included Iloilo–Bacolod. However, since these destinations were already featured in the VIP Tour about two editions ago, Chicago PCG proposed adding El Nido as an alternative. This would give participants more flexibility and allow those who have joined previous VIP Tours to experience a different destination.
