24 November 2025, Chicago - The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago conducted its 2025 Year-End Planning Workshop on Saturday, 22 November 2025, at the Kalayaan Hall of the Consulate. All personnel participated in the activity, which reviewed Post’s accomplishments for the year and set priorities for 2026.
Consul General Melanie Rita B. Diano led the workshop and, in her remarks, reflected on Post’s achievements over the past year. She expressed appreciation for the dedication of the personnel and encouraged everyone to strive for even higher levels of performance and service in 2026.
During the workshop, the Political, Economic, Cultural, Assistance-to-Nationals (ATN), Overseas Voting, and Administration Units, presented their respective accomplishment reports. The Consul General also facilitated a session on sharing best practices, allowing staff to exchange insights and experiences that have contributed to more effective, efficient, and collaborative operations.
Each unit likewise presented its Work Plan for 2026, including proposed activities for the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of PH-US diplomatic relations.
The workshop provided an opportunity for reflection, alignment, and planning as Post prepares for another year of service to the Filipino community in the Midwest. END
