PCG Chicago and Knights of Rizal Commemorate Rizal Day

Chicago, 04 January 2022 – The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago and the Knights of Rizal Chicago Chapter held a wreath-laying ceremony at the Rizal Monument in Chicago’s Lincoln Park on 30 December 2021 to commemorate the 125th death anniversary of Philippine national hero Dr. Jose Rizal. The Rizal Day theme is “Rizal: For Science, Truth and Life” (Rizal: Para Sa Agham, Katotohanan at Buhay). Post has always commemorated Rizal’s death anniversary and participated in the events of the Knights of Rizal despite the pandemic and the increase in COVID cases of late, as long as allowed by local authorities.
