Consul General Melanie Rita B. Diano, upon the kind invitation of Diplomatic Liaisons Pam and Steve Caine of the Chicago-Illinois region, participated in the Light the World Giving Machine event organized by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on 17 December 2025 in Aurora, Illinois.

On 16 December 2025, a delegation from the Philippine Consulate General, led by Consul Melvin Almonguera, attended the celebration of Simbang Gabi at Queen of Apostles Church along Sunnyside Avenue in Chicago. He was joined by Ms. Jekelyn Esguerra, Ms. Lizbeth Pangan, Atty. Mark Arinquin, and Ms. Janice Kathlene Lobien.

16 December 2025 - The Philippine Consulate General joined the Filipino Community in celebrating the first night of the traditional Filipino Christmas Novena, Simbang Gabi, held on 15 December 2025 at the St Helen Catholic Church (Our Lady of Unity Parish) in Chicago, Illinois.

CHICAGO 15 December 2025- Bringing its services closer to the Filipino and Filipino-American communities in the US Midwest, the Philippine Consulate General in Chicago conducted a consular mission in Indianapolis, Indiana on 13 December 2025. The one-day event was held at Jameson Camp, 2001 Bridgeport Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46231 (some 190 miles away from the Consulate). It marked the Consulate’s tenth and final outreach mission for the year.

15 December 2025 - The Philippine Consulate General, represented by Consul Ma. Theresa M. Alders and accompanied by Cultural Officer Mary Joy Duran-Mortel, participated in the coronation of the Ms. Hudyaka and Christmas Gala 2025 organized by the Zamboanga del Norte Association of Illinois (ZAMNAI) on 13 December 2025 at the Lone Tree Manor, Niles, Illinois. CHICAGO, 24 November 2025 – In line with its commitment to strengthen and modernize consular service delivery, the Philippine Consulate General in Chicago signed a subscription agreement on the implementation of an electronic payment system with Cliqbux LLC on 24 November 2025 at the Kalayaan Hall of the Consulate. The digital payment platform will enable the Consulate to offer secure, convenient, and streamlined electronic payment options to the public.
