The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago, in partnership with the Chicago Public Library and the Filipino American Historical Society of Chicago, with the support of the Film Development Council, invites everyone to join us at the following events in celebration of Filipino American History Month (FAHM):

FAHM Keynote Program at the Chicago Public Library – Edgewater Branch (6000 N Broadway, Chicago, IL 60660) on 12 October 2024, Saturday, from 1:00 to 2:00pm featuring remarks by Consul General J. Susana V. Paez and Alderwoman Leni Manaa-Hoppenworth; book donation by the Philippine Consulate General; and book readings by local Filipino-American authors, Mr. Rey de la Cruz (Ballesteros on my Mind) and Ms. Zee Lacson (Twice Removed). Screening of the film, “Sonata” featuring Filipina actress Cherie Gil, who has won best actress for her performance at the ASEAN International Film Festival and Awards, and directed by Peque Gallaga and Lore Reyes. The film screenings will be held at the following:
