Consul General Melanie Rita Diano, accompanied by Cultural Officer Mary Joy Duran-Mortel, graced the Dinagyang Chicago 2026 celebration on 04 January 2026 at Allegre Banquets, Schiller Park, Illinois.

Organized by Tribu Illongo in cooperation with Chicago Nightingales, the celebration highlighted the colorful and lively spirit of the Dinagyang Festival, a renowned cultural and religious festival from Iloilo City, Philippines. The event featured lively singing and dancing performances as well as a fashion show that showcased the unique costumes of the Dinagyang warriors, paying homage to the festival’s deep cultural roots.
