CONSULATE GENERAL ATTENDS SIMBANG GABI AT QUEEN OF APOSTLES

On 16 December 2025, a delegation from the Philippine Consulate General, led by Consul Melvin Almonguera, attended the celebration of Simbang Gabi at Queen of Apostles Church along Sunnyside Avenue in Chicago. He was joined by Ms. Jekelyn Esguerra, Ms. Lizbeth Pangan, Atty. Mark Arinquin, and Ms. Janice Kathlene Lobien.

The Mass was attended by around 100 Filipinos from across the Metro Chicago area. Organized by Filipino-American religious groups of the parish, the Simbang Gabi was celebrated by Fr. Jason Malave, church pastor.

Following the Mass, a salu-salo was held at the church’s multi-purpose hall, where attendees shared fellowship and enjoyed traditional Filipino delicacies. END
