Consul General Melanie Rita B. Diano attended the Global Village Event at the Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law on 26 February 2025.

The Global Village event is an annual community event where international students and student organizations showcase their unique culture. Attendees had an opportunity to enjoy a variety of cultural performances and try unique delicacies from different countries. Two (2) Filipino law students prepared Philippines’ lumpia (fried eggroll) and ube (purple yam) flavored donuts. The event was attended by hundreds of students from the University and members of the Consular Corps of Chicago.
