Consul General Melanie Rita B. Diano called on her Canadian counterpart, Consul General Madeleine Féquière, on 05 March 2025 at the Canadian Consulate General in Chicago.

During their meeting, Consul General Diano thanked Consul General Féquière for Canada’s support for the Philippines, particularly in areas of security and defense, maritime cooperation, and ensuring peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.

The two Consuls General also discussed the forthcoming activities of the Chicago Consular Corps, their respective diaspora and mandate, and future projects. Consul General Diano also shared with Consul General Féquière her experience in Vancouver during her previous assignment.

This is the fifth courtesy call of Consul General Diano on her counterparts since she assumed post on 21 January 2025.END
