7 March 2025 (Chicago) - The Philippine Consulate General launched on Friday the GAD Corner and the Kapihan ng Kababaihan as part of its celebration of the National Women’s Month.

Consul General Melanie Rito B. Diano welcomed Consulate clients and highlighted the new GAD corner, which will feature materials on gender and equality, brochures on the Safe Space Act, the Magna Carta on Women, and other Philippines government campaigns in advancing gender equality and women empowerment. The Consulate hopes that with these materials clients will increase their awareness of gender-related issues.

The Kapihan ng Kababaihan, also launched on Friday, will run every Friday for the whole month of March to be a venue for women clients’ interaction and networking among fellow Filipinos.

As part of the month-long celebration, the All Women Cast Lupang Hinirang also featured at the Dual Citizenship Oath Taking END
