On 16 March 2025, the Consulate General, represented by Consul Melvin Almonguera, attended the monthly Filipino Community Mass of St. Helen Church at 2315 W Augusta Blvd, Chicago. He was joined by his colleagues, Ms. Lizbeth Pangan, Mr. Martyn Asker Orcine and Mr. Mark Arinquin.

Some 50 Filipinos, coming from all over Chicago, were present during the mass. Fr. Arnel Dionaldo, a Filipino priest, was the main celebrant and Fr. Claudio Diaz, Jr., the church’s pastor, concelebrated and served as the homilist.

The Consulate’s participation underlines its support for events involving Filipinos in the US Midwest.END
