Consul General Melanie Rita B. Diano paid a courtesy call on Consul General Nada Draz of Egypt on 17 March 2025 at the Egyptian Consulate General in Chicago.

During the call, Consul General Diano thanked Consul General Draz for Egypt’s support to the Philippines’ bid for a seat in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) and the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Consul General Draz likewise inquired on the Philippines’ support for Egypt’s bid for UNESCO.

The two Consuls General also discussed other issues of mutual concern, such as immigration, their respective diaspora and jurisdictions, and their foreign service experience.

Consul General Nada Draz is a career diplomat and is the former Ambassador of Egypt to the Republic of Malta.END
