19 March 2025, Chicago - Philippine Consul General in Chicago, Atty. Melanie Rita B. Diano, called on Ms. Lindsay Fair, Regional Director of the Office of Foreign Missions (OFM) Chicago Regional Office to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation between the two offices.

Consul General Diano expressed appreciation to the OFM for its continued support for Chicago PCG, especially in facilitating the arrival and departure of consular personnel, as well as in ensuring that foreign consular and other offices are able to discharge their diplomatic and consular work efficiently and effectively.

Regional Director Fair assured the Consul General of OFM’s commitment to assist Chicago PCG through a variety of ways, including continued engagement with the foreign missions in conducting briefings on diplomatic services, and facilitating calls on the local, federal and state government officials.

The OFM serves over 2200 members of careers and honorary consulates general, cultural, education, tourism and trade offices in the north-central United States. It has program responsibilities for the area that includes Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio and Wisconsin .END
