The officers and members of Knights of Rizal, led by its Area Commander Marciano “Anong” Santos, and Gawad Kalinga, led by its Area Director Leslie Tiquia, called on Consul General Melanie Rita B. Diano on 26 March 2025 at the Philippine Consulate General.

During the meeting, Mr. Santos and Ms. Tiquia briefed the Consul General on their respective organization’s missions and advocacies, as well as their future projects. They also exchanged ideas on how to unite and engage the different Filipino community organizations in the US Midwest in pursuit of their shared goals and objectives.

For her part, the Consul General acknowledged the importance of collaborative activities with and among the different community organizations, and lending support to their initiatives. She committed to improve the Consulate’s existing partnership with the different Filipino community organizations, and foster a community of trust and cooperation.END
