CONSUL GENERAL CELEBRATES FILIPINO CULTURE AND HERITAGE WITH FAAECI

Consul General Atty. Melanie Rita B. Diano served as guest speaker at the Filipino American Association of East Central Illinois (FAAECI) Gala Night on 04 October 2025, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Champaign, Illinois. The event celebrated Filipino culture and heritage while honoring the invaluable contributions of the Filipino-American community in the region.

In her address, Consul General Diano congratulated FAAECI and recognized its members as bridge builders - connecting the American society they now call home with future generations of Filipino Americans who will embrace their Filipino heritage as an integral part of their identity.

FAAECI, under the leadership of Ms. Maelanie Meyer, organizes signature events including gala nights and community programs that foster camaraderie and cultivate a deeper appreciation of Philippine heritage throughout East Central Illinois.
