The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago conducted its first consular mission for the year on 01 March 2025 at Hawthorn Extended Stay, 5500 W Kellogg Dr, Wichita, Kansas 67209 (some 713 miles away from the Consulate).

Led by Consul General Melanie Rita B. Diano, the Consulate General’s team rendered a total of 108 services, mainly for passport and dual citizenship, to consular clients residing in Kansas and other nearby states during the one-day event. Applicants who availed of the consular services expressed their appreciation to the team, since this meant that they no longer have to drive for more than eleven (11) hours to the Consulate General in Chicago.

The event was conducted in partnership with the Filipino American Association of Greater Wichita, headed by its president Ms. Merci Mancao, which assisted the outreach team through promotional and logistical support. The Consulate’s team also took the opportunity to invite the consular clients to the 2025 VIP Tour scheduled this July by distributing flyers during the event.
