WINDY CITY BULLS CELEBRATES FILIPINO HERITAGE NIGHT

The Windy City Bulls, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, celebrated Filipino Heritage Month on 22 March 2025 at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

The annual event brought together 7,634 fans, mostly Filipinos and Filipino-Americans, setting a new single-game franchise attendance record for the Windy City Bulls

The SamaSama Project kicked off the Filipino Heritage Night program with their outstanding singing of the Philippines’ and the United States’ national anthems complemented by their playing of traditional Filipino instruments. Throughout the game, the audience was also treated to various Filipino performances, including traditional and modern dances and music.

Consul General Melanie Rita B. Diano was invited to participate in this year’s Filipino Heritage Night program as the game’s ball presenter to open the match between the Windy City Bulls and Indiana Mad Ants. This symbolic gesture underscored representation of the Filipino community in the event.
