CHICAGO PCG CONDUCTS OVERSEAS VOTING ECHO TRAINING FOR POST’S OFFICERS AND STAFF

1 April 2025, Chicago: The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago held an echo training for its officers and staff on 31 March 2025 at Post’s Kalayaan Hall, following the 2025 National Elections Overseas Training for Special Board of Election Inspectors (SBEI), Special Ballot Reception and Custody Group (SBRCG) and Special Board of Canvassers (SBOC) North and Latin America conducted by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) and the Office for Overseas Voting (OVS) of the Department of Foreign Affairs held on 26-28 March 2025 in New York City.

Consul Ma. Theresa M. Alders, Special Board of Election Inspectors (SBEI) Chairperson, served as the resource speaker and discussed the highlights of the three-day training on the general instructions and procedures of the online voting and canvassing for the upcoming elections. Consul Alders noted to remind all registered overseas Filipino voters in the United States to complete their pre-voting enrollment as soon as possible to ensure smooth participation in the upcoming 2025 National Elections.

Consul General Diano also shared her plans to expand the Consulate’s community and cultural events to other states in the US Midwest. Lastly, the Consul General guaranteed the constant support and assistance of the Consulate to the Filipino community in Indiana.

Together with Consul Alders, Chicago PCG representatives Ms. Rocylyn T. De Leon and Mr. Francis C. Galang also attended on the said training in New York City. END
