CONSULATE GENERAL CONDUCTS FINANCIAL LITERACY SEMINAR ON PAG-IBIG AND THE SSS

06 October 2025 - The Gender and Development (GAD) Program of the Philippine Consulate General in Chicago, in cooperation with the Zamboanga del Norte Association in Illinois (ZAMNAI), held a hybrid Financial Literacy Seminar on Pag-IBIG and Social Security System on 04 October 2025 (Saturday) at the Skokie Public Library.
ZAMNAI President Mr. Joshua Bicoy introduced the activity, and Consul General Diano formally opened the seminar. She thanked the resource persons from Pag-ibig and SSS, and welcomed online and onsite participants, while expressing hope that the seminar will lead to greater financial resilience and independence.
Resource persons were Mr. Mark Joseph R. Co, representative of the Pag-ibig Virtual Office Division under the Foreign-Based Offices Operations Department, and Mr. Rigor V. Pantollano, SSS Foreign Representative based in New York.
ZAMNAI members and guests attended the seminar on site at the Skokie Library and online. Chicago PCG was represented by Consul Ma. Theresa Alders, supervising officer of the PCG’s GAD program, Consul Melvin Almonguera, GAD Focal Person Ms. Lizbeth Pangan, and Atty. Eunika Lesli Leyva-Tiongco as the tech personnel. [END]
