CHICAGO 17 November 2025 – The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago successfully carried out a consular outreach mission in Maplewood, Minnesota, bringing vital consular services closer to Filipino and Filipino-American residents across the state.

The one-day outreach, held at the Philippine Center located at 1380 Frost Avenue, was organized in partnership with the Fil-Minnesotan Association and the Philippine Center of Minnesota. The initiative forms part of the Consulate’s continuing efforts to make its services more accessible to Midwest communities.

A six-member team from the Consulate, led by Consul General Melanie Rita B. Diano, rendered a total of 217 services throughout the day. These included passport applications, dual citizenship petitions, and other consular transactions. Many applicants shared that the outreach spared them the long travel to Chicago and expressed appreciation for the Consulate’s commitment to serving Filipinos across wide geographic areas.

Post extended its gratitude to the Fil-Minnesotan Association, headed by Mr. Dodge Flores, and to the officers and volunteers of the Philippine Center of Minnesota for their strong logistical and organizational support. Their partnership was instrumental in ensuring the efficient and orderly conduct of the mission.

For updates on consular outreach activities, Filipino and Filipino-American communities in the Midwest may visit the Consulate General’s official website (www.chicagopcg.com) and its Facebook page (@PHinCHICAGO). END
